Dramatic Play Area
Place different sized mirrors in your dramatic play area. Add different clothes, hats, wigs, and shoes and let children play dress-up and look at their reflection within the mirrors.

Play Dough Center
Draw a head without any ears, hair, and face features and laminate. Let children use play dough to incorporate the ears, hair, nose, mouth, and eyes into the mat.

Block Center
Add pictures of the children regarding the blocks.

Science Center
Trace each young one’s hand on esssay writer card stock paper and cut fully out. Write their name on the relative back associated with hand cut-out. I Love Collage

Let children draw a photo of themselves from the paper. They cut out items from magazines of items that they like such as for example dogs, cats, flowers, family pictures, hot dogs, etc.

I Am Special Because
Have children sit in a circle even though you play music. Children should pass a bean bag around the circle while the music plays. Once the music stops, the kid holding the bag gets to remain true and tell something special I am special because . . about himself/herself with the phrase, ” . .” Make sure each child has a turn on the duration regarding the theme.

I look into the mirror and what do I see?
give out a mirror to each child. Keep these things looking when you look at the mirror and pointing to the right parts to their face while reciting the rhyme:

I am Special Mirror Craft
Draw a mirror shape on to craft paper and cut fully out. Cut out an oval shape out of aluminum foil and glue in the mirror. Let children decorate their mirror.

Matching Game:
Make pictures of every young child in your class and print out two copies of each and every picture. Glue the pictures onto index cards to help make a matching game with pictures of this real faces of the children in your group.

My Birthday (Printables and activity available inside our KidsSoup Resource Library)
Print 12 birthday cakes and write the months of the year from the cakes. Make birthday candles with craft sticks and craft paper and write the names of the children in your class in the candles. Make a “Our Birthday Month” chart by writing the names for the children inside their birthday month column. Let children find and put the birthday candles from the matching birthday cake.

Life-Size Me

Things you need:
Butcher paper
Washable black markers
Crayons
Scissors
Glue
Yarn

Paper and fabric scraps
Buttons

That which you do:
Trace each young one’s outline with washable black markers on large items of butcher paper. Then, let each young child cut out his or her outline and decorate it with crayons, yarn, fabric scraps, paper scraps, and any other collage items available. Arrange the completed life-size portraits all over room. If desired, they could be arranged along with a personal timeline for each young one.

My Name
Create a true name tag with an image for every single child. Allow them to practice writing/tracing their name. Slice the photograph and let children match the true names into the photographs. Cut the letters of the name and let children put their names back together.

Names Spelling Cards
With a black marker write children’s names on an index card. Write each letter of the young child’s name on a clothespin and place inside a bag that is plastic with all the name. Let children find their name card. Then get the plastic that is matching containing the clothespins. Let children clip the clothespins to the the top of true name card spelling their name. After children have had enough practice spelling their names, allow them to choose a pal’s name card also to spell his/her name.

Hidden Names Artwork
With a white crayon, write the children’s names on a white sheet of paper. Let children use watercolors to paint all around the paper to show their name.

Building Names
Tape the letters of children’s names on Duplo blocks. Encourage children to make use of the blocks to construct their names or their classmates names.

Write the rhyme below on sentence strips place within your reading chart. See the rhymes and let children point for their matching body parts. Point out the word”my” and together say the word. Invite a child for each sentence associated with the rhyme to come up towards the board and use a pointer to get the word “my” in the sentence.
